The Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry is the apex body for trade and industry in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

The Andaman Chamber of Commerce was established in the year 1962 with an idea of safeguarding the vital interests of businessmen of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

In the year 1986, its name was changed to ‘Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry’. The Chamber also adopted its own Constitutions and was got registered as a society under Section 3 of Societies Registration Act, 1860, on the 27th May, 1986, vide Registration number 582.

Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry is affiliated with the following :-

1. Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), New Delhi.
2. Bharat Chamber of Commerce (BCC), Kolkata.
3. The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chennai.
4. Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).Kolkata.
5. Indian Council of Arbitration, New Delhi.
6. Confederation of All India Traders, New Delhi.

Key Objectives

1. To foster and develop friendly relations, mutual help, common
understanding and unanimity among the business community of A&N
Islands.

2. To serve the interests and well-being of the A&N Islands business
community.

3. To secure organized action, directly or indirectly on all subjects relating
to the interests of the business community of India in general and A&N
Islands in particular.

4. To make representations on behalf of or to communicate the verdict of
A&N Islands merchants to Local and Central Authorities, Executive or
Legislative, on any matter affecting trade, commerce, Industries,
shipping, banking and insurance and to lead deputations to the above
authorities if necessary or desirable.

5. To assist or cooperate with the Government of other public or private
bodies, in any scheme or enterprise for the economic development of
India in general and A &N Islands in particular.

6. To promote the objects of the A&N Islands business community in
matters of inland and foreign trade, shipping and transport, industry and
manufacture, banking and insurance
